All Stories on Smashwords Free!

Image
As a Christmas present to my fans, I have created coupons for the two stories I have on Smashwords that have charges associated with them.  All three stories I have on there will be free until January 20, 2013. The first story I published on Smashwords is Afternoon Delight . It's a fun story about two co-workers having an afternoon romp in the sack. The link to story is: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/218644 The coupon code to get the story free is: QM37C The second story I published on Smashwords is The Wrong Place at the Right Time .  It's a story about a woman who goes into a sex bar looking for her best friend and gets a new experience. This story is already free. The link to it is: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/236016 The third story I published on Smashwords is Is That A UPS Woman in Your Closet . This story reunites the two main characters in the story The Wrong Place at the Right Time for some hot sex in an office storage closet. The link for th

New Stories Forming

I've just about completed the first draft of The Murder of Mr. Jenkins and it will be going on the shelf for a little while so I can clear my mind of it. After a few weeks I'll go back to it and start editing. During those few weeks away from the murder, I have two new erotica stories that I'm going to be working on for Smashwords and some more chapters to The Continuing Story of Jamie and P. J. I've also been doing some reading in my spare moments, which are few. I read "The Empress of the World" by Sara Ryan. This was a sweet lesbian story with some twists for the characters. The story is based at the Siegel Institute for the exceptionally talented. The characters Nicola, Battle, Katrina, Isaac and Kevin are there for summer classes that let them learn more about their exceptional gifts. The main character Nicola is an artists and discovering that she is a lesbian. She falls in love with Battle, a beautiful blond dancer who is terrified of her feelings for

NaNoWriMo

Good morning! I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving. Ours was uneventful, which is always a good thing when dealing with family. :) I'm still working on my murder mystery, The Murder of Mr. Jenkins. I'm about 41,000 words in and I only have until the end of the day on November 30th to get to 50,000 words to win the NaNoWriMo award this year but I'm pretty sure I can do it. I haven't written much for the Continuing Story of Jamie and P. J. this month because of working on the NaNoWriMo contest but I'll be back at that in December. I'm also hoping to have a new erotic short story to post on Smashwords in December, so please check back for updates of what's new and exciting in my writing life.

Plugging Along

I just spent an hour adding to the 32,000 words that I've written on the new murder mystery I'm writing with my partner. You can check out The Murder Of Mr. Jenkins at the following blog: http://themurderofmrjenkins.blogspot.com/ I've also added another chapter to The Continuing Story of Jamie and P. J. This chapter was told from Kayla's point of view. I decided that I was only going to discuss things from the four main characters of this story's point of view so Brandi, the other member of the girl's group will be more of a minor character in this story. Please drop in and check it out if you haven't already: http://suddenlycontinued.blogspot.com/ I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving. I plan to spend a lot of time writing over the weekend, so hopefully I will have more to post the first of next week. Namaste!

More Writing Frenzies

I have been on a writing frenzy this month. I've added two posts to The Continuing Story of Jamie and P.J. and I've written 22,900 words towards my 50,000 word NaNoWriMo goal on the murder mystery I'm writing with my partner. Check out both blogs and let me know what you think of my stories: http://themurderofmrjenkins.blogspot.com http://suddenlycontinued.blogspot.com You can also visit my updated website to checkout what else is going on: www.metudor.com

New Chapter Added to The Continuing Story

I just posted another chapter to The Continuing Story of Jamie and P. J., which is working on becoming the next book of that series. This chapter is told from P. J.'s point of view.  I won't be working on that story line too much in November because I will be working on the murder mystery. It won't be too far from my mind though and I may write on both of them during November but don't be surprised if you don't see a new addition to The Continuing Story until December. Until then I will keep you posted of any signings I may doing and any new places where you can purchase Suddenly.

More Good News and NaNoWriMo

The book signing last week at PFLAG was a success. I truly enjoyed getting to talk to the group about my book Suddenly. Everyone there was excited about the book so hopefully they will enjoy reading it. I heard from my publisher over the weekend and it looks like my book may actually be available in Barnes and Nobles stores at some point.  I'll keep you all posted about the happenings with that. I'm almost done with the next segment of the continuing story of Jamie and P.J. This segment is told from P. J.'s point of view. I'm pushing to get it posted by Wednesday because Thursday is the beginning of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). I will be writing the new murder mystery that my partner and I are working on together.  I have created a new blog for it. This is the link: http://themurderofmrjenkins.blogspot.com/ I plan to post the entire first draft on the blog so I hope you all will follow along with the story. Also, I have 5 autographed copies of Sudd

Craziness and PFLAG!

These past few weeks have been absolutely insane. My book was on hiatus while I was waiting for the publisher to get it fixed and back out. It is available again on Amazon and Barnes and Noble in print form. I am ordering several copies today so that I will have them available when I speak at the PFLAG meeting next Tuesday, here in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The meeting will be held at the ALIVE Center at 6 p.m. I'm so excited and extremely nervous about this very first speaking event for my book, Suddenly.  I've got another short, lesbian erotica that I'll be posting on Smashwords, hopefully later today.  And I'll working on another post to the Continuing Story of Jamie and P.J. blog that is being the new book, The Circle of Confusion. This new segment will be written from P. J.'s point of view and I hope to have it up before the end of the week. On top of all this craziness, I'm preparing to start a new murder mystery, tentatively entitle "The Murder of

Changes for the Continuing Story

My fans who are reading my blog the Continuing Story of Jamie and P. J. are going to notice some changes in the the way the stories are posted.  This is because I'm posting the beginnings of the new novel into the blog. The new novel is going to be called The Circle of Confusion . I'm going to be posting tidbits from it on the Continuing Story blog and complete chapters on Smashwords. They will be .99 for each chapter but I'm going to post coupons on this blog and the Continuing Story blog for the fans who've been following me all along. Right now you can read Afternoon Delight on Smashwords for free with this coupon code: Your coupon code is US27F (not case-sensitive). Just stop by my Afternoon Delight's Smashwords page: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/218644 I can't wait to create more of The Circle of Confusion for all my fans. Please feel free to send me you thoughts and input about the story to mxtudor@gmail.com

Another Smashwords Story!

I've posted another story to Smashwords. It's another short lesbian erotica, but it has the potential of becoming a series. In fact, I already have plans to write the next segment this week. So check out The Wrong Place at the Right Time. This one is going to be free for a few weeks and then it will go up to .99.  Also the first story I posted there, Afternoon Delight is still .99, but I may be posting some coupons for it over this next week. I'm working on another post for the Continuing Story of Jamie and P. J. and I'm working on the first chapter of a murder mystery my partner and I are writing together. As time goes on I'll post some snippets from the murder mystery here to give you guys a little taste of what's to come with that.  The Continuing Story of Jamie and P.J. is going to eventually be a full blown novel but the blog will have tidbits of ideas as I work it out in my head so please keep checking back with it to see what's happening with t

What a week!

This past week and the first part of this week have been pretty rough. I was so excited about getting to see my book in print, but I was devastaged by all the problems with the book. This run should have been an advanced reader copy instead of the actually print run. Anyway, the publisher is supposed to have fixed it and we'll see how the next run of books turns out. I am moving on with my other projects. I have another short lesbian erotica that I'm going to be posting on Smashwords before the end of the week. I'm also going to make some big changes to my website and add another post to The Continuing Story of Jamie and P. J. If you want a copy of Suddenly from this first run of the book, I still have a few left. They are $15 and each copy is numbered as a limited edition and autographed. Anyone interested in a copy please email me at mxtudor08@gmail.com

Flaws and All

Much to my disappointment, my book has some serious flaws that are going to have to be fixed right away. But, there were only 70 copies of the book printed like that, hopefully. I had 63 copies that I'm selling for $15 a piece and they are numbered as a Limited Edition and autographed. One day, when I'm famous, or infamous, whichever happens first, they will be worth lots of money. :) It's been a crazy busy week and I haven't gotten much writing done. It's supposed to be rainy all evening and most of the day tomorrow so hopefully I'll be able to finish "The Right Place at the Wrong Time" and maybe even get something on the Continuing story of Jamie and P. J. I hope all of you have a great weekend.

Getting to hold my book.

I got to hold a copy of my book for the first time Friday and I have to tell you, it is one of the most amazing feelings in the world.  I can't even begin to tell you how exciting it was. It was also a little sad because I realized that other than promoting the book, my journey with that particular book had reached a point where I wouldn't be writing or editing it again. Well, at least I certainly hope not but you never know.  Anyway, it's time to move on the new projects now.  I'm working on a second book in the P. J. and Jamie story. This one will feature new friends and a new romance.  I'm torn about how to present it but I am thinking about doing it in a style that Jodi Picoult did her book, Sing Me Home. She told the story from three different characters points of view with each chapter told from a different character's point of view. I didn't like it at first but after I read it a second time, I really liked being able to be inside each person's

Exciting News

It's finally here! My young adult lesbian romance, Suddenly is now available on Amazon! Here's the link: http://www.amazon.com/Suddenly-M-E-Tudor/dp/0985654694/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1346181851&sr=1-1&keywords=suddenly+m.+e.+tudor Also, I have published a short lesbian erotica story on Smashwords. Here's the link to that: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/218644 I've also just received my first review of my book and I am soooo stoked!

The Book is Released but still Not Quite Available

Well, Wednesday my book was supposedly released but I still haven't figured out how to get a copy of it. I have the ISBN number and I keep checking Amazon but it's not there yet.  I will let everyone know the second it is actually available.  As you can imagine, I'm quite disappointed that the book is not really available yet.  Anyway, I posted a new segment of the Continuing Story of Jamie and P. J. I hope all my readers realized that these are more or less notes for the next novel, The Circle of Confusion.  I am working on it and I've set a goal for myself to have the first draft finished by Christmas. I'm also putting the final touches on my lesbian erotica short story, Afternoon Delight . If all goes well it will be available on Amazon next week I have another lesbian erotica short story titled, The Wrong Place At The Right Time that is going through its first round of edits and will hopefully be ready to go to Amazon by the first of September. And, my

Suddenly Final Edits In and On To Other Stuff

I turned in the final edits for Suddenly  so it should be coming out on time on August 15, 2012.  I've also added a new segment to my other blog:  http://suddenlycontinued.blogspot.com/ . Now it's time to move on to other things. I'm going to finish reworking my short erotica story, Afternoon Delight. I'm hoping to have it available for purchase before the end of August. I'm also working on the follow up book to Suddenly , tentatively titled: The Circle of Confusion.   I am writing thoughts and pieces to it now but hopefully I'll write the bulk of the book during NaNoWriMo this November. Please be sure to stop by my website: www.metudor.com. I'll be posting updates about Suddenly 's availability and signings.  I'm going to be doing two signings in Nashville in October for sure and hopefully some other ones in September and December.

Pulling my hair out and biting my nails!

I'm working frantically to get the final edits for Suddenly done so I won't miss my deadline to for my August 15th release date. It seems to be taking forever to do these edits and I am having a horrible time finding uninterrupted time. It is sooo frustrating. Especially when I'm ready to move on to new stuff. I'm working on editing my short, erotica story Afternoon Delight. Once I get it edited, I'm going to take down from my website as a free read and post it on Amazon. I will be replacing it with another short erotica that will be up for free for a little while, then get moved to Amazon. If you are interested in reading Afternoon Delight , you can check it out at this link: https://sites.google.com/site/mxtudor08/home/afternoon-delight Also, I'm working on the next installment of the Continuing Story of Jamie and P. J. I will hopefully have that posted very soon.

More Continuing Story next week.

I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to get on here and post new information. I had some personal stuff going on and I got the final edits for Suddenly from my publisher so I'm working on that and trying to get it ready to be sent the press.  I will be posting a new segment to the Continuing Story of Jamie and P. J. next week, so please check back on that. Also, we are less than three weeks away from the release of Suddenly on August 15th.  I'm looking into getting some copies that I can sign and sell from my website and I will also be giving some autographed copies away.   So stay tuned.

Insane couple of weeks.

The past couple of weeks have been ridiculously insane. I've had all kinds of crazy dealings with my kids, work and friends.  I haven't had much time for writing unfortunately. But, I did find an erotica story that I had written months ago.  I'd totally forgotten about it. I've cleaned it and I'm going to work on it a little more, then, if all goes well, I'm going to post it on Amazon. We're under four weeks before Suddenly is due to come out. Keep your fingers crossed that there won't be any problems that will delay it's release. I'll keep you all posted of how that is going.

41 days and new post on the Continuing Story of Jamie and P. J.

Yep, just 41 days until Suddenly comes out.  I know that most of you who are checking out this blog may have already read the unedited version of Suddenly.  The official copy will be coming out on August 15, 2012 in both ebook and print copies.  I'm going to run a contest for getting autographed copies closer to the publication date so check back for information about that. Also, I just posted a new segment to the Continuing Story of Jamie and P. J., and I was blushing and grinning the whole time I was writing it. I hope you continue to follow the story. Check it out: http://suddenlycontinued.blogspot.com/ The next book will be a companion book to Suddenly giving you a new story line with some of Jamie and P. J.'s new friends.

Counting down the days

I'm counting down the days to the release of my young adult lesbian romance, Suddenly on August 15th. Just 42 more days and the book will be available for all of you to read.  I'm also working on the next book that will be a companion book to Suddenly.  The lovable Jamie and P. J. will be in it with a new cast of characters, some of which have been introduced on my other blog, The Continuing Story of Jamie and P. J. http://suddenlycontinued.blogspot.com/ I'm hoping to get the next installment posted today on that blog. I know there are some of you out there who are excited to find out what will happen next.  Keep checking back here and at my website: www.metudor.com for updates about Suddenly's release and other news. I'm going to be doing some book festivals and signings.  I'm also hoping to do a book tour. Exciting stuff going on so stay tuned!

California and Chaos

I haven't had a chance to post anything here for a few weeks. I've had a lot of chaos and I got to go to California for the American Library Association's annual conference that was held in Anaheim this year.  I had never been to California before so it was quite the treat. I got to go to see the Pacific ocean and walk on the beach in Newport. I also got to go the the Aquarium of th Pacific.  It was very awesome. I learned a lot at this conference about things that I had never really considered. I learned that you have to make sure your book gets cataloged correctly in the library systems so that it can be found by all of your potential audience, not just your direct audience.  I also learned that getting your book reviewed by the big reviewers like School Library Journal, Library Journal and Publisher's Weekly can be very challenging but very important to the success of your book.  Now that I'm back home, though, I will start working on the next segment of the

Updates

I've spent the last few days updating sites and working on a new story that will be a companion to Suddenly.  I'm still riding on cloud nine that Suddenly is actually getting published.  My publisher, Itoh Press has been great and is working very hard to get my book out to you as soon as possible.  As of right now, it should be available August 15, 2012! I hope you will all grab a copy.

Jamie and P.J.'s new page

I have moved the continuing story of Jamie and P. J. from my book "Suddenly" to their own blog.  You can read more about them at http://suddenlycontinued.blogspot.com/.  I hope you all will continue to me on my quest to be a published author. It looks like it is really going to to happen.  If all goes well, "Suddenly" will be out sometime around August 15, 2012.  I will make a big announcement here when it actually goes out.

Exciting News!

Hey, everyone! I have exciting news. Itoh Press has given me a contract to publish my book "Suddenly."  We are looking at a potential release date of August 15, 2012, but that is not official yet. I'm going to be moving "The Continuing Story of Jamie and P. J." to it's own blog, hopefully tomorrow since I'll be home, hopefully all day. I'll post the information about the new blog here once it's complete.  I hope you all will continue to follow Jamie and P. J.'s story and check about the release of the book.

Wedded Bliss

P. J. got used to Jamie having study groups at their apartment and tried not to get jealous everytime Jamie touched one of her friends.  Three of the girls; Kayla, Brandy and Lora, had become good friends with both Jamie and P. J. It wasn't unusual for all three of them to spend the weekend with Jamie and P. J., kind of like a college age slumber party.  Jamie had become quite the wife since P. J. worked as well as went to school.  She had gotten to the point where she would get up and fix breakfast for P. J., make her lunch, and discuss what the evening meal would be.  P. J. was still surprised to come home most nights with dinner on the table or a plate fixed and in the refrigerator waiting for her if Jamie had an evening class or something else going on. Things were so perfect, in fact, that P. J. was waiting for the proverbial other shoe to drop.  It just seemed so easy.  Maybe things could really be this perfect for real, or maybe not. Check back next week for the next i

New Version of Suddenly Available on Website

I've posted the newest version of "Suddenly" on my website.  It's in PDF so you should be able to open it on mobile devices.  I'll keep updating editions as I get through more levels of editing.  I just heard back from an agent who said that he wasn't interested, but at least he responded where the other publishers I've contacted didn't even bother to say "no thanks."  I'd love to hear from any of you who are reading the story and let me know what you think!

Making Up

Jamie went back into the living room with her study group.  P. J. got into the shower.  She hated that they were fighting and felt guilty about being the one to start the fight, especially while Jamie's friends were here.  But, she was tired and she didn't feel like being social.  If Jamie would have warned her, she would have went to her aunt's or done something else to chill out before coming home.  P. J. had only met a few of the girls that were here and they seemed okay.  She wondered if Jamie had told them that they were lovers or if she had just said they were roommates.  The fear of Jamie changing her mind about their relationship, finding someone else, or just deciding she wasn't really gay reared it's ugly head again.  Their relationship was still new even though they had been together for seven months now.  P.J. told herself that she was being silly and she would apologize to Jamie after the girls left.  She was just so afraid of Jaimie walking out of li

First Fight

P. J. unlocked the door to the apartment and was greeted by the sound of laughter.  She was suprised to see that Jamie had six friends from school sitting on the floor of the living room, that still only had a couch in it. They had a pizza box open on the floor between there, books open and notebooks strewn around.  Jamie looked up at P.J. and smiled, "Hey, just in time. You want a piece of pizza?" "No," P.J. said in a sharper tone than she had intended, illiciting a frown from Jamie. "I'm going to hop in the shower." She went into the bedroom and threw her backpack on the bed.  Jamie came into the room just as P.J. was stripping off her shirt. "What's the problem?" Jamie asked. "I just wasn't expecting to come home to a house full of people," P.J. said and threw her shirt on the bed. Jamie closed the door and leaned against it.  "This is my study group from English class. I didn't think it would be a prob

Jamie and P. J.: Moving in together

Jamie had, initially, been extremely pissed off that P. J. had dropped down to going to school half-time so she could go to work full-time at Kinko's. P. J. finally made her understand that she was getting to do a lot of graphic art work when she was helping clients set up their business cards and creating posters. In effect, she was getting more of a hands on eductation than she had been getting at school. Plus, P. J. didn't want to pass up the opportunity for a full-time job and had jumped on the opportunity when her manager had asked her to start working full-time.  The extra income allowed P. J. to have enough money to get an apartment for her and Jamie. P. J. had been worried that Jamie's parents would balk at the idea of the two girls moving in together but Jamie's dad had been excited about how much money it was going to save him so he wouldn't have to pay for dorm housing.  Jamie's mother, who still really hasn't come to accept their relationship,

Revelations about my father and why M.E. Tudor is my pen name.

Someone asked me recently why I chose M.E. Tudor as my pen name.  I told them that one reason was because I thought my real name, Tina Brewster was a boring name. The other reason is because it is in honor of my paternal grandmother, Mina Ellie Tudor (Tudor being her maiden name), who my mother said was a story teller.  I didn't meet either of my paternal grandparents. My grandmother died at the age of 48 from ovarian cancer about 4 or 5 years before I was born. My grandfather died of a heart attack two years before I was born. Interestingly, my mother had more fond memories of her mother-in-law that she did of her own mother. She told me many stories but when I started taking an interest in drawing and writing as a teenager, my mother said that my dad's mom had been the family story teller and my Aunt Pat, my dad's only sister, had been an artist. My dad didn't talk much about his family. I learned through other family members that my grandfather had been an alcoho

Suddenly cont...Showing Jamie the Apartment.

“What are we doing here?” Jamie asked as P.J. pulled into a parking space at the apartment complex. P.J. turned in her seat, she brushed a stray blond hair away from her face nervously. “What do you think about us living together?” Jamie’s eyes widened, “Seriously?  I would love to live with you.” Reaching over and taking P.J.’s hand, “I would love to wake up next to you every morning and not just when we slip away and get a hotel.” “Me too,” P.J. said and looked up at the windows of the apartment she’s leased a few hours earlier.  “So what do you think about this apartment complex?” Raising a questioning eyebrow, Jamie looked around the grounds of the apartment complex, “It’s nice. Are you wanting to look at an apartment here?” “Yeah, in fact I got the key to one earlier so we could take a look at them,” P.J.said, stretching the truth just a little. Jamie smiled and opened her door. “Let’s go look at it.” P.J. opened her door and got out of the Jeep too. She took Jamie b

The Beginning of the Continuing story from Suddenly

I haven't decided what to title this continuing story yet but I have some ideas for the beginning of the new story that will start at the beginning of Jamie and P.J.'s second year of college. This story will be told from P.J.'s point of view and shed some light on how she was feeling during some of the things that happened in "Suddenly".  So here we go: The past year had been like a fairy tale that still hadn't ended. P.J. Thomas watched her beautiful girlfriend, Jamie Edwards walk down the steep grassy hill at Western Kentucky University's campus and praying the fairy tale would last forever.  The smile that spread across Jamie's face when she saw P.J. waiting for her by their black Jeep widened when she saw the roses P.J. was holding in her hands.  P.J. opened her arms and pulled Jamie into her embrace when Jamie got to her. "What are those for? Our anniversary was months ago." Jamie said, kissing P.J. on the lips. "Do I have t

"Suddenly" continues...

I've had some people who read my book "Suddenly" on the Royal Academy of Bards site: http://www.academyofbards.org/ , to continue Jamie and P.J.'s story.  They would also like to hear P.J.'s thoughts about things. Since I wrote Suddenly from Jamie's point of view and in first person.  The continuing story is going to be told from P.J.'s point of view in first person.  I hope to have first ideas for this story up later today.  Please make comments and give me suggestions about the story. I'd love to hear from all of you!

New Character Ideas for Going Country

I've been a bit stalled on writing Going Country because my characters weren't being who I wanted them to be.  The main character, Aimee I wanted to be a bit of a punk city girl being forced to move to the country but as I started writing that wasn't how the character developed.  I've changed my mind about her based on the way the character was developing.  Instead of being a city girl coming to the country with a chip on her shoulder, Aimee is going to be a city girl who has always felt like an outcast.  Besides being gay, she didn't feel that she belonged in any group at her high school or with her family.  She's an artist and a dreamer and her parents are believers in being practical and don't encourage her to follow her artist dreams. Her father was originally going to go freakishly religious but I totally couldn't make that happen.  He is just going to be a workaholic whose lost his job and lost his direction.  Aimee's mom was a homemaker in t

Getting Suddenly Ready for Self-Publication

I decided that I wasn't going to wait for a publisher to pick up Suddenly.  Partially because I'm getting impatient and I want to get it out there for readers and partially because I refuse to change the story line to anything but a young adult lesbian romance.  I hope that anyone who reads Suddenly or any of my other books will drop me a note to let me know what you liked and what you didn't like.

New Year and Editing

I just have to say that I am so glad 2011 is over. It was one of the top five worst years of my life.  My girlfriend and I seemed to be fighting all the time about my daughters. My daughters, whom I love dearly, have both had rough years too and hopefully this will be the year we'll all get out lives together.  My girls have given me a lot of material for writing about and I'm sure that I'll have more than one story at that will have a character going through some of the crap they have been through in the past year but it will be in the form of lesbian relationships instead of straight. Well maybe, there will be a straight girl gets wooed by lesbian in a few. :) This year is also going to be a year of editing my work.  I'm back to editing on "Suddenly" and I do believe I'm going to self-publish it.  If all goes well I'll have it available by mid summer.  I hope everyone's year is starting off great and I hope I get a of new fans this year. Pe
